The Test Format
Task 1: You are put in a position where you must write a letter to someone to ask for information or to explain the circumstance. The letter’s style can be informal, formal, or personal. You should plan on spending 20 minutes on Task 1 and producing a minimum of 150 words.
Task 2: You are required to respond in writing to a point of view, claim, or issue. Compared to the essay for Academic Writing Task 2, this one can have a less formal tone and a more intimate reaction. You should allow 40 minutes to complete this work, and you must compose at least 250 words.
Assessment Criteria
Task 1: Examiners will often assess your ability to respond to the task, content organisational skills, you’re your accuracy. The criteria for task 1 includes – Task Completion, Cohesion and Coherence. Lexical Resource, and Grammatical Range and Accuracy.
Task 2: The assessment criteria for Task 2 is very similar to that of Task 1. The only difference is in the first stage– where it is not task achievement but task response.

Similar to Task 1, wait two to three minutes after thinking about and planning your essay before beginning to write. Separate the topic from the activity to make sure you comprehend it.
Review Your Work
