The Latest Update: New Employer Form Released
On April 10, 2024, the OINP introduced an updated Employer Form, officially named the Application for Approval of Employment Position (Employer Form). This new form bears the version code 2024/04 on the bottom left corner of every page. It is now mandatory for all nomination applications submitted under the Employer: Job Offer stream of the OINP.
Why It Matters

- Job Offer Criteria: Permanent and full-time job offer under NOC TEER category 1, 2, or 3, meeting Ontario’s median wage levels.
- Work Experience: Two cumulative years of relevant work experience in the previous five years.
- Licensing: Relevant mandatory licensing in Ontario, if applicable.
- Residency Status: Can reside abroad or have legal status in Canada.
- Intention: Intent to settle in Ontario.
2. Employer Job Offer: International Student Stream
- Job Offer Criteria: Permanent and full-time job offer under NOC TEER category 1, 2, or 3, Skill Type 0, or Skill Levels A or B, meeting low wage levels for Ontario.
- Education: Graduated from a publicly-funded Canadian college or university or completed specific post-graduate programs.
- Study Requirement: Completed studies in Canada for a specified duration.
- Residency Status: Legal status in Ontario.
- Intention: Intent to settle in Ontario.
3. Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills Stream
- Job Offer Criteria: Permanent and full-time job offer in specific occupations, meeting Ontario’s median wage levels.
- Work Experience: Nine months of cumulative work experience in eligible occupations.
- Education: Equivalent of Canadian high school education or higher.
- Language Proficiency: Minimum CLB/NCLC 4 in English or French.
- Residency Status: Can reside abroad or have legal status in Canada.
- Intention: Intent to settle in Ontario.
