British Columbia, renowned for its stunning landscapes and vibrant cities, continues to attract individuals from around the world through its Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). On October 17, the British Columbia Recent PNP Draws issued a total of 157 invitations across multiple streams of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program. These draws are split into two categories: general and targeted, each catering to specific occupations and industries.

Category 1: General Draw for Skilled Workers and Graduates

In the general draw, 104 invitations were extended to candidates, including those in the tech sector. This draw encompassed five distinct BC PNP streams, aimed at skilled workers and international graduates. The minimum scores required for these invitations varied, ranging from 91 to 113 points.

Category 2: Targeted Draw for Key Professions

A significant portion of the invitations, 31 to be precise, was allocated in the targeted draw. These invitations were directed at skilled workers and international graduates who scored a minimum of 60 points. The draws aimed at specific occupations deemed essential to the province’s development.

Occupations Targeted:  31 Early Childhood Educators (NOC 42202); 17 healthcare workers; and ‘less than 5’ invitations for Other Priority Occupations (NOCs 31003, 32104).

The October 17th invitation round conducted by BC PNP marked the third in a series of Skills Immigration draws for the month. Just a few days earlier, on October 11, 2023, the province had already organized another BC PNP draw.

BC PNP Draw History – Last Month’s Highlights

October 11- Skill-Specific Invitations 185 foreign skilled workers and graduates received invites with a minimum score of 60, emphasizing tech, childcare, healthcare, and priority occupations.

October 4 – Multiple Streams Invited 191 candidates (scores 60-113) including Entry Level and semi-skilled Workers, Skilled Workers, and International Graduates across childcare, healthcare, and more.

September 19 – Tech, Childcare, and Healthcare Outreach 225 candidates with a minimum score of 60 got invitations from the categories tech, childcare, and healthcare.

September 12, – Targeted Skilled Workers and Graduates 183 invitations were extended to Skilled Workers and International Graduates with a minimum CRS score of 60.
