Quebec continues to blaze the immigration trail by holding its most recent draw organized by its Minister of Immigration, Francization, and Integration (MIFI). In March’s second round of invitations, Quebec invited 1,357 candidates under the Regular Skilled Worker Program (RSWP). Let us now break down this major development in Quebec’s immigration.
Key Points from Quebec Immigration Draw
There were two groups of applicants based on certain criteria. The first group includes those having a French language proficiency level 7 and up on the Québec scale and have 596 CRS scores as a minimum in the Québec Expression of Interest points system. The second group also asked for a level 7 or higher French language proficiency as well as a job outside Montreal CMA with no minimum score set.

Invitation Criteria
The invitees met the following conditions:
- French language proficiency at a level equal to or better than level seven on the Québécois’ scale
- Achieving at least 596 points
- Job offers that are valid beyond metropolitan Montreal

Application Process for Permanent Residency
If you receive an invitation, you will be able to apply for permanent residence through your Arrima message center. Ensure the accuracy of the information provided in your Expression of Interest (EOI) when submitting your application. You’ll have 60 days from the date of invitation to submit your application along with the required documents and processing fees.
For those who didn’t receive an invitation, your profile remains active in the pool for 12 months. Don’t withdraw your EOI, as you may be considered for the next Quebec Immigration draw.
Regular Skilled Worker Program Eligibility
Candidates under the Regular Skilled Worker Program (RSWP) are evaluated based on various criteria such as age, language proficiency, education, work experience, and other factors specific to the Quebec RSWP. The highest-ranking candidates are typically selected in draws.
