Prince Edward Island Issued Invitations to 106 Candidates in Its Latest PNP Draw

Prince Edward Island (PEI) held its first invitation of the month on June 20, 2023. Candidates from the Express Entry, Business Work Permit Entrepreneur, and Labour streams were invited to the most recent lottery.

PEI Draw Highlights: Who was Invited?

The candidates from the Labour and Express Entry streams received a total of 106 invites from Prince Edward Island (PEI), and 78 from the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur stream.

Following is a Breakdown of the Most Recent PEI PNP Draw:

• Candidates who qualified for the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur stream received a total of 09 invitations. Candidates needed a minimum score of 80 to be eligible, and;
• A total of 97 invitations were sent out through PEI’s labour and express entry streams.

In the last 12 months, the province has sent a total of 2,423 invitations to applicants in the Labour and Express Entry streams. In addition, 96 invites for Business Work Permit Entrepreneurs have been sent out by the PEI Provincial Nominee Program. Candidates under Critical were also sent invitations to apply.

Eligibility for the PEI PNP

The following requirements must be met by applicants in order to be qualified for the PEI PNP:

• Age: The applicant must be between the ages of 21 and 59;
• Education: The applicant must possess at least a high school diploma, a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree, or a doctorate.
• Work Experience: They must have two years of full-time experience in a skilled occupation;
• Language Proficiency: They must have attained a CLB level of four in either English or French; and
• Show Intention to Settle: They must demonstrate a strong desire to live in the province in question.
• Meet the financial requirements for the province in addition to these requirements.

The PEI PNP requires a separate Expression of Interest (EOI) from applicants for nomination to PEI through Express Entry. A grade is assigned to EOI profiles based on a PEI points grid system, much like the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) for Express Entry. High-ranking candidates are urged to apply through monthly lotteries.
