Ontario PNP Latest Draw: 95 French-Speaking Skilled Workers Received Invitations
On July 25, 2023, the new-third French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream draw was held by the province of Ontario, which issued 95 invitations. The draw was conducted by the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) for applicants who met the qualifications for the province’s Express Entry streams.
The scope and frequency of the Expression of Interest (NOI) selection are impacted by the OINP’s current backlog of applications. With a few exceptions, the draws take place each month. The dates for the next Ontario selection have not been predicted or announced in any PNP draw, either.
Highlights of the French-Speaking Skilled Worker Draw
Prospective individuals were asked to apply under Ontario’s French-Speaking Worker Stream with a CRS score ranging from 321 to 374. With Express Entry profiles generated between July 25, 2022, and July 25, 2023, a total of 95 candidates were invited to the general draw.

An Overview of French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream in Canada
The OINP’s French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream was established to attract skilled Francophone workers to the Canadian province of Ontario. This stream seeks to help Ontario achieve its objectives of fostering French-speaking immigration and enhancing the linguistic diversity of the province.
In accordance with this program, the OINP nominates eligible English- and French-speaking professionals for permanent residence in Canada. To qualify:
- Full-time job offers in Ontario or at least one year of relevant experience in a skilled profession is required;
- Candidates must also meet the criteria of the necessary levels of education, language competency, and adaptability.
Here is a Detailed Step-by-Step Procedure for Applying:
- STEP 1: Comply with the requirements of the FSWC or the CEC. Candidates who are only qualified for the Federal Skilled Trades Class are not eligible for this stream.
- STEP 2: Create an Express Entry profile in step two.
- STEP 3: Meet the requirements for the Ontario French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream in this step.
- STEP 4: Obtain an NOI from the OINP (be aware that not all qualified applicants will necessarily be given an NOI
- STEP 5: Within 45 days of receiving the NOI, submit an application for a provincial nomination certificate to the OINP.
- STEP 6: Get a provincial nomination from the OINP in step six.
- STEP 7: Receive 600 more CRS points and a request to apply for Canadian permanent residence at a later draw from the pool
- STEP 8: Submit an application for permanent residence within 60 days
- STEP 9: All set to become a permanent resident of Canada.
