Manitoba gives out 450 invitations to international graduates and skilled workers
The Canadian province, Manitoba, has given out 450 immigration invitations to candidates who are willing to apply for a provincial nomination. The candidates aiming for Canadian permanent residence will take this opportunity to present their application. The Expression of Interest draw which was held on 20th June saw Manitoba issuing more than 400 invitations, which were also called Letters of Advice to Apply or LAAs.
Most of the invitations were given out to candidates who fall under the categories like Skilled Workers in Manitoba, International Education streams, and Skilled Workers Overseas. All the streams are now classified under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) that permits the province to conduct their own immigration methods. The province will be able to nominate immigration candidates who have skills that are sought by local employers. Additionally, they should also be able to settle down and adjust to Canada as quickly and economically as possible.
The LAAs which were issued on 20th June can be divided as:
- International Education Stream: 26
- Skilled Workers Overseas: 323
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 101
With this recent draw, the number of LAAs distributed among skilled worker candidates in the year 2019 has reached 4,979. According to Manitoba, 133 LAAs were given to candidates who are already under the federal Express Entry system who also had a job seeker validation code. The candidates were also required to have experience in any profession that has been listed under Manitoba’s In-Demand Occupations. Any Express Entry candidate who has received a provincial nomination get an additional 600 points in their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. As a result, they are almost guaranteed an invitation to get a Canadian permanent residence.
The Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream accepts all eligible temporary workers from foreign lands and international student graduates.
