Canada is well-known as a place where International students always wish to apply for a Canadian study permit and pursue higher studies. In the year 2021, Canada accepted nearly 450,000 international students as newcomers.

CIBE’s most recent report on International students reveals that Canada’s reputation for being safe and stable is a determining factor in why students from foreign countries choose to get a Canadian study permit and study over there.

In 2021, IRCC came up with the news that there were 56% more applications for study permits than in 2020 and received 175,000 applications in the first quarter of 2022 alone.

On top of it, Canada is the world’s most favorable destination for international students. To become a part of it, you must know the 3 simple steps of getting a study permit;

1. Research all the Options for Studying in Canada

Canada is a hub of top-ranked colleges and accredited universities offering a wide range of programs to foreign students. Having said that, before you apply – look for all the alternatives and best-fit solutions for a dream to pursue. Deep-rooted research helps you to examine the universities, and whether they are offering approved programs.

If you have no other legitimate source to do research, visit the official website of IRCC. Check whether the shortlisted colleges are on the IRCC’s list of Designated Learning Institutions (DLI).

If they are on the list, apply to the chosen educational institutions.

2. Receive a Letter of Acceptance (LOA)

To submit an application for a study permit, international students have to wait for a letter of acceptance. Once you get an approval notification from a Canadian DLI.

Letter of Acceptance (LOA) includes:

1. The Canadian DLI name and contact details

2. Name of the candidate, date of birth, and registered email address.

3. The study, level, duration of the program with start date, and estimated date of completion

4. Expiry period of the LOA

3. Study Permit Application

The last and most important step of acquiring a Canadian study permit is the submission of the study permit to IRCC. It is noticed that a number of times study permit gets rejected due to lack of information or incomplete application. It is always advisable to choose the immigration consultants with the best service offering experience, to ensure the submission of the study permit successfully.
