Job Vacancies in Canada
According to the job vacancy data for November, there were 20,700 fewer open positions across all industries in Canada. Despite this, the number of available positions will reach an all-time high of 850,300 by the end of 2022.
Vacancies in the healthcare and social assistance, professional, scientific and technical services, and construction sectors are particularly persistent, with little reduction from year to year. These favorable hiring conditions indicate a positive hiring climate for newcomers, who make up nearly 100% of Canada’s labour force growth as the economy rises from the COVID pandemic.
