Latest British Columbia PNP Draw

In the most recent British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) draw on April 3, a total of 83 invitations to apply (ITAs) for permanent residency (PR) were issued across general and targeted rounds of invitations.

In the general draw, 30 invitations were extended under various streams, including the Express Entry and BC PNP Skills Immigration streams and the Entry Level and Semi-Skilled streams. Interestingly, there was a notable increase in the cutoff score across all streams compared to the previous general draw on March 19, except the International Graduate stream.

Specifically, 18 invitations were sent to candidates with experience as early childhood educators’ assistants or instructors (NOC 42202). Additionally, only 10 applicants with experience in 25 construction-related occupations were invited under British Columbia’s new category-based draw introduced in late 2023. Furthermore, 25 profiles with experience in 39 healthcare-related occupations received invitations to apply for permanent residency.

Immigrating to BC in 2024

As individuals explore opportunities to immigrate to Canada, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) stands as a key pathway to realizing their dreams. In 2024, the BC PNP will continue to play a crucial role in supporting the province’s economy and meeting its labor market demands. Within the BC PNP framework, there are two primary pathways available:

  1. BC Skills Immigration
  2. BC Entrepreneur Immigration

Upon initiating the immigration process, candidates’ registrations undergo a comprehensive evaluation using the BC PNP points calculator. Once the registration is successfully submitted, the candidate’s profile enters the pool of applicants. The profile remains active for 12 months from the submission date, awaiting consideration.

Looking Ahead

With the next BC PNP draw expected to be announced on April 9, anticipation is high for targeted rounds of invitations for early childhood educators, tech occupations, construction occupations, and healthcare occupations. These draws are typically conducted every week on Tuesday or Wednesday, alternating between general draws and tech/healthcare-specific targeted draws.
