Saskatchewan provincial nomination

Quite recently, the province of Saskatchewan decided to issue new invitations so that more candidates could apply for a provincial nomination. The invitations were distributed among 426 candidates, all of whom belonged in the Express Entry category and the Occupation In-Demand sub-category.

The draw was held on 6th June. 342 candidates in total got the invitations under the Occupation In-Demand sub-category. The remaining 84 invitations were handed over to the Express Entry candidates.

If you want to be a contender for receiving an invitation to apply for a provincial nomination in Canada, you must head to the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program and register for an Expression of Interest. The nominations play a crucial role in getting you Canadian permanent residence irrespective of which sub-category you belong to. The SINP has given Saskatchewan the freedom to nominate eligible foreign workers so they can receive permanent residence in Canada. They have specified a few categories according to the primary economic and labor market requirements of the province.

You will find that the SINP’s Express Entry sub-category is closely associated with the federal Express Entry system. Canada uses the Express Entry system as the ultimate source of procuring skilled foreign labor. All the Express Entry candidates who get provincial nomination are given extra 600 points which are added to their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, granting them a better shot at securing permanent residence.

The Occupation In-Demand and Express Entry sub-categories demand that candidates have previous work experience in any of the 19 occupations which have been listed as in-demand in Saskatchewan. There are other criteria to fulfill, as well.
When you register a separate Expression of Interest, you should make sure that it details, your education information, work experience, and language proficiency. The cut-off score was 75 during the last draw for both sub-categories.
