Quebec Revamps Its Employment Portal To Offer A Crucial Feature
Quebec usually goes its own way when it comes to immigration but never strays from the overall goal of inviting more skilled workers to stay in the country.
The province’s Minister of Immigration, Francization and Integration, Nadine Giraud, recently announced the introduction of a new portal which will make it easier for employers to spot eligible workers.
This new portal will use the data stored in the Arriba system to establish direct connection between employers and immigration candidates. It does not matter whether you are currently in Quebec or your home country, the portal will allow businesses to find and recruit you. Companies will also receive personalized support from an immigration advisor who will ensure that the correct immigration program is chosen.
How to use it?
The feature has been available for some time now and employers are already using it to find eligible workers. Offered by the Quebec Ministry of Immigration, the purpose of the portal is to allow for the selection of candidates who will be able to fulfill the labor market deficits in the best way possible.
The companies looking to benefit from this functionality should be registered with the Registraire des Entreprises Québec. They will be able to browse the profiles of different candidates, provide a job offer and then help start the immigration process. This feature will help temporary or permanent residents in Quebec, people or immigrants in ethno-cultural minorities and international graduates with a post-graduate work permit in the province.
The Employers’ Portal has been active since June 2019 and it is free to use. It is easy to navigate and the company will be able to see the results in real-time when searching for candidates who meet all their criteria.
