Ontario Welcomes Immigrants with Its First PNP Draw of 2022

This draw certainly shows the seriousness of the Canadian government towards achieving its yearly Canadian immigration targets. OINP issued invitations to the candidates who had their profiles in the Expression of Interest system and be eligible for one of the streams under the Employer Job Offer Category: Foreign Worker, International Student, and In-Demand Skills.
A total of 264 employer job offers were made under the Foreign Worker stream, and 762 offers under the International Student stream. Similarly, 58 candidates were invited under the In-Demand Skills category.

Every year, the federal government permits the Canadian provinces and territories that manage the PNP to grant a certain number of nominations. Ontario PNP was allowed to invite 8,350 immigrants in the year 2021. The province also got an additional 250 nominations for temporary foreign workers in intermediate skilled occupations, NOC Skill Level C.
Last year by November 10, Ontario had received 8,600 nominations. The province is further seeking that the federal government doubles its allocation in 2022.
