Latest Ontario PNP Issued 1,052 Invitations in Healthcare-Focused Express Entry Draw
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) took center stage on November 30, extending 1,052 coveted invitations to candidates in its healthcare Express Entry draw. This awaited comeback, after a break since September 26, 2023, showcased Ontario’s commitment to healthcare professionals and skilled workers.
OINP – Express Entry Draw Highlights
This OINP draw demonstrated a laser focus on the healthcare sector, welcoming 1,052 Express Entry profiles with experience in 42 designated healthcare occupations under the Human Capital Priorities Stream (HCP).
Express Entry profiles securing Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score between 404 and 430 got the opportunity in this draw. These individuals are either celebrating their invitations or eagerly awaiting them, having met the criteria for claiming provincial nominations from Ontario.
Since October 26, there hasn’t been any Express Entry draw from IRCC. The last draw on that date specifically focused on healthcare, inviting 3,600 candidates with a CRS score of 431 or higher. Considering that individuals with a CRS score above 430 might directly receive invitations from IRCC, OINP utilized that draw as a benchmark and extended invitations to candidates below that.

OINP Steps In Amid IRCC’s Draw Pause
As the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) draw drought persisted since October 26, when the OINP emerged as the hope for Express Entry candidates.
For those fortunate enough to receive an invitation, a 45-day window opened wide. This pivotal period allowed candidates to submit their complete applications and secure the chance of provincial nominations. Upon OINP approval, successful candidates experience a remarkable rise in their Express Entry CRS score, within the range of 1,004 to 1,030. This not only solidifies their pathway to permanent residency but also positions them favorably in the highly competitive Express Entry pool.
