Canada is all set to start the Express Entry process in 2021
Canada has planned to hit the Immigration targets through a massive Entry Draw system. This year Canada has invited 401,000 immigrants out of which one-quarter have arrived through the Express Entry system.
On 13 February 2021, the largest Express entry took place for the Canadian Experience Class only. This 176th Express Entry draw offered 27,332 ITA with a cut-ff score of 75 only. Besides, CEC -specific draws, the IRCC also initiated the draws meant for the candidates nominated through PNP.
Canada has set the target to welcome 108,500 newcomers by means of Express Entry programs in 2021. After the travel restriction due to this pandemic, the Immigration Minister has planned to look for ways to convert the Temporary resident into a Permanent residence in Canada.
Things to keep in mind before initiating the Express Entry process from abroad
Travel restrictions are being imposed In Canada to contain the spread of this deadly virus. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has promised to provide vaccine to everyone who wants by the end of September 2021.
The most common way to enter the pool is through the Federal skilled worker Program. To enter through this program, you need to have an Educational credential Assessment and language test result. This of course will take few months to complete. After you get an ITA, you have 90 days to apply for Permanent Residence. After submission, the IRCC will take another 6 months to process the PR application.
To meet out the Targets, we can expect to see some massive Express Entry Draws with low CRS requirements in near future.
Under the 2021-2023 Immigration Level Plans, Canada plans to welcome 401,000 immigrants per year. While 411,000 Immigrants in 2022 and 421,000 immigrants in 2023. Under the 2021-2023 Immigration level Plan, 60 percent of immigrants are from the economic class group including those through PNP and Express Entry as well.
