Manitoba Issues 421 Invitations to PNP Candidates

The province of Manitoba wants to invite skilled workers who will be able to fill the existing labor gaps in the market. The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) allows provinces and territories to browse the Express Entry pool of candidates and select the most suitable candidates for the labor market. 

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) organizes regular draws to issue invitations to apply for provincial nomination. Since 2020 had a negative effect on immigration, it was important for Canada to increase immigration in 2021. 

Details of the draw

In a recent Manitoba PNP draw on November 1, Manitoba issued a total of 421 invitations to eligible candidates who will now be able to apply for a provincial nomination. The MPNP has issued 9.571 invitations to apply for provincial nomination so far this year. Candidates from three different PNPs were invited. Skilled Workers in Manitoba candidates received a total of 350 invitations, and their minimum required score was 460.

On the other hand, Skilled Workers Overseas candidates received 38 invitations, and their minimum score requirement was 713. In a recent Manitoba PNP draw, Manitoba also invited 33 candidates in the International Education Stream, and there was no score requirement. Express Entry candidates received 75 of these invitations.

Manitoba handles all its immigration programs via the MPNP. In case you are interested in getting nominated by Manitoba, you have to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) so that the province will consider you for an invitation via an immigration program. Registered candidates are ranked out of 1,000 points based on certain human capital factors.
