Saskatchewan Issues Over 500 Invitations via PNP Draw

Canadian provinces are organizing Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draws regularly in 2021 to invite eligible, skilled workers who are willing to settle in Canada permanently. The Canadian PNP allows provinces and territories to browse through the pool of candidates registered under the Express Entry system and select the ones who have the ideal skill set to fill the gaps in the provincial labor market.

Details of the draw

The province of Saskatchewan organizes a new round of invitations on September 8, and the selected immigration candidates will now be able to submit their applications for a provincial nomination. The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) draw targeted the Occupations In-Demand and Express Entry sub-categories.

A total of 528 candidates received invitations to apply for either of these two immigration programs. The SINP Express Entry subcategory is suitable for 316 of the candidates, while 212 of them will be able to apply via the Occupations In-Demand sub-category.

The minimum Expression of Interest (EOI) score required for candidates to get an invitation irrespective of their sub-category was 66 points. Saskatchewan’s EOI system is designed to favor the candidates who have a higher chance of being successful in the province. Candidates are usually ranked based on their work experience, language skills, age, educational qualifications and personal connections to Saskatchewan.

The September 8 Saskatchewan draw listed 16 eligible professions for candidates of each category. All the candidates had to acquire Educational Credential Assessments to prove that their foreign education was equivalent to the Canadian counterpart.

Express Entry candidates will receive an extra 600 CRS points if they manage to secure a provincial nomination.
