Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program Invited 650 Candidates

Canadian provinces are organizing Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draws regularly in 2021 to increase the number of newcomers who can help in stabilizing the economy. This Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program allows provinces and territories to browse the Express Entry pool for suitable candidates to fill their labor gaps.

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) held its latest draw on September 23 and invited more than 500 skilled candidates. A total of 650 eligible candidates received invitations to apply for a provincial nomination from the MPNP in this draw. They will now be able to submit their application. However, it is important to remember that the nomination is not guaranteed. Provincial nominees are awarded additional points, and this effectively guarantees them an invitation to apply for permanent residence in Canada in a future federal draw. 

Details of the draw

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program controls all the provincial immigration programs and supports the immigration applications submitted by candidates to the federal government. It cannot grant permanent residency status, but it can strengthen an applicant’s case considerably by giving them a provincial nomination.

The September 23 draw saw 135 Express Entry candidates receiving Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs). A total of 529 Skilled Workers received invitations to apply in Manitoba PNP, and their Expression of Interest (EOI) score cutoff was 401. Another 67 candidates were invited via the Skilled Workers Overseas category, and their minimum EOI score requirement was 718. International Education Stream candidates did not have to satisfy any EOI score requirement and they got 54 invitations.
