Manitoba distributes 253 invitations among PNP candidates
The eastern Prairie Province of Manitoba has issued invitations to 3,086 immigration candidates who will now be able to submit their application for a provincial nomination this year.
On August 13, Manitoba organised the largest draw of the year and invited a total of 253 candidates.
Details of the draw:
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) handed over invitations to international student graduates and skilled workers via three immigration streams. The invitations or Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs), were distributed in the following manner:
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 197
- International Education Stream: 23
- Skilled Workers Overseas: 33
So far, Manitoba has provided 3,086 LAAs to candidates belonging to these categories in 2020.
Requirements:
Candidates who wish to immigrate via Manitoba’s Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) must register an Expression of Interest (EOI) under the MPNP. It will qualify them to receive an LAA via the Skilled Workers Overseas and Skilled Workers in Manitoba streams.
All the candidates are scored on 1000 points and ranked by the province. They are evaluated on the basis of human capital characteristics like their education, language skills, work experience, Manitoba connections, and other such factors.
The EOI score cutoffs for the draw on August 13 were:
- Skilled workers in Manitoba: 485
- Skilled Workers Overseas: 672
