- On December 8, category-based selection draws for STEM occupations invited 5,900 candidates with a minimum CRS of 481.
- On December 7, a draw for French language proficiency candidates saw 1,000 invitations with a minimum CRS of 470.
- Another all-program draw took place on December 6, targeting candidates with a minimum CRS of 561, marking the first draw in over a month.
In 2023, IRCC issued a total of 109,196 ITAs, surpassing the 45,115 invitations extended throughout 2022. Moreover, IRCC issued 114,431 ITAs in 2021, surpassing the 2020 peak. According to immigration targets, Canada aims for 465,000 newcomers in 2023.
