British Columbia Held Another Skills Immigration Draw, Inviting 185 Candidates

Recently on June 27, 2023, the Canadian province of British Columbia held a new Skills Immigration draw. The month’s fourth draw invited 185 Invitations to apply (ITAs) to candidates in the BC PNP pool.

The number and frequency of Expressions of Interest (NOI) are based on British Columbia’s backlog of applications at the moment. With a few exceptions, BC PNP draws are typically held every week.

Highlights of the draw: Who was Invited?

General Draw

The BC PNP held rounds of invitations and issued a total of 130 ITAs to candidates in the general draw. The issued invitations were distributed to Skilled Workers and International Graduates including the EEBC option and also to Entry-level and Semi-skilled workers.

To qualify, candidates were required to score at least 87-109.

Targeted Draw – Childcare, Healthcare & Other In-demand Occupations

The Canadian province also conducted rounds of invitations for applicants working in the targeted occupations. The category invited a total of 50 candidates to the Skills Immigration targeted draw.

Here’s the breakdown of the invitations invited to British Columbia’s Skills Immigration Targeted draw:

  • 30 Early childhood educators and assistants (NOC 42202) with a minimum score of 60;
  • The targeted draw issued invitations to 20 Healthcare workers with a minimum score of 60;
  • A total of 05 invitations were issued to candidates from the in-demand occupation (NOCs 31103 and 32104). To qualify, candidates required a minimum score of 60.
