BC PNP Issues New Invitations to Skilled Workers in Various Sectors

On June 25, 2024, the Government of British Columbia conducted new invitation draws under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP), targeting skilled candidates across multiple sectors. The draws focused on candidates with experience in healthcare, childcare, construction, and veterinary care occupations.

In the general draw, the province invited 35 candidates with a minimum score of 110 points. This draw aimed to attract skilled professionals to contribute to the province’s diverse workforce.

Specific targeted draws were also held to address critical needs in various sectors:

  • Childcare: BC issued 6 invitations to early childhood educators (NOC 42202), emphasizing the importance of childcare professionals in supporting families and early childhood development.
  • Healthcare: The province invited 11 candidates with a minimum score of 106 points in the healthcare sector, reflecting the ongoing demand for healthcare workers to support public health.
  • Construction: 11 invitations were extended to candidates working in the construction industry, recognizing the essential role of construction professionals in infrastructure development.
  • Veterinary Care: Up to five invitations were issued to candidates working in veterinary care occupations, highlighting the need for veterinary professionals to support animal health and welfare.

In total, British Columbia issued 68 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in this draw. With these latest invitations, the province has invited up to 3,534 candidates through the BCPNP in 2024, demonstrating a strong commitment to attracting skilled talent to meet the province’s economic and social needs.

The BCPNP continues to be a vital pathway for skilled workers to obtain permanent residency in British Columbia, contributing to the province’s growth and development across various sectors.
