Alberta Organises New Draw to Invite 184 Eligible Candidates

The Canadian provinces have been organizing draws regularly to invite more skilled workers who will be able to fill the labor deficiencies in the market.
On June 22, Alberta organized a new draw to issue 184 invitations to skilled workers. The chosen candidates were registered in the Express Entry pool, and they will now be able to submit their applications for a provincial nomination. The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) focused on inviting candidates who might satisfy the eligibility requirements of the Alberta Express Entry stream.
Candidates looking to be invited must have created an Express Entry profile. The minimum required score was 300. Alberta organized a similar draw on June 5with 300 as the minimum score requirement.
New update
One important thing to note is that Alberta has finally decided to lift the restriction of issuing invitations to only those physically present in the province already. The pandemic and its accompanying travel restrictions forced the Alberta government to limit their intake. However, the AINP is no longer abiding by this criterion.
Candidates already residing and working in the province will continue to receive invitations alongside candidates living abroad who have professional experience that can boost the economic diversification and development in Alberta or a recent job offer.
Alberta has altogether issued 2,284 invitations to Express Entry candidates so far in 2021. The province has permission to grant 6,250 nomination certificates this year. It is important to remember that an application for a provincial nomination does not guarantee it.
