Alberta Issues Details of First PNP Draw of 2022

Canadian province Alberta welcomed 250 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination with its first PNP draw of 2022. The invited candidates had a Comprehensive Ranking System score (CRS) of a minimum of 327. The invited immigration candidates stand eligible for a provincial nomination under the Alberta Express Entry stream. If one gets nominated, they will be a step closer to attaining Canadian permanent residence.

Provincial nominees can apply for Canadian immigration under the PNP. Express Entry candidates with provincial nominations get the advantage of being pushed to the top of the pool and receive an invitation to apply (ITA) for PR.

The province launches the news about the Alberta PNP draw 2022 after the week they announced Accelerated Tech Pathway.

How to Apply for Immigration for Alberta

The first and foremost step to immigrate through Alberta Express Entry is to create a profile for the pool. Express Entry is an application management system for the three Federal High Skilled programs:

  • CEC (Canadian Experience Class)
  • Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
  • Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)

If one stands eligible for Express Entry, they get a score based on CRS. The points are given after evaluating one’s age, education, work experience, language ability, and other factors.

Canadian immigration body IRCC holds express entry draws and invites the highest scoring candidates from the pool to apply for permanent residence. One can apply through an express entry system without the provincial nomination also. However, PNP offers candidates an opportunity with lower CRS scores to garner 600 points automatically.
