The Alberta Express Entry Invitation Rounds for the Month of March and April
In the most recent rounds of provincial nominee programs (PNP), candidates have been invited to apply from the province of Alberta. The draw was conducted by the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) in Alberta.
In Canada, there are a number of provincial and territorial nomination programs (PNPs). Under these programs, interested candidates are invited to apply for their provincial nomination. Receiving a provincial nomination can be a valuable step toward attaining permanent residency.
Highlights of the Draw – Who was Invited?
On 9th March, the province of Alberta held a Notification of Interest (NOI) draw. The draw NOIs to a total number of 134 invitations to candidates to apply for the provincial nomination. To qualify, candidates required to score as low as 301 CRS points.
To note, the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score decreased by 56 points in the most recent Alberta PNP draw. Prior to the draw, the province invited 100 candidates with a CRS score of 357 as a part of AAIP Express Entry draw
In 2023, Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has assigned Alberta a total of 9,750 nomination certificates. Each province can issue a maximum number of nomination certificates.
The number of applications in the AAIP’s backlog at the time determines the size and frequency of the Notification of Interest (NOI) draw. With a few exceptions, AAIP draws are typically held every month. The dates of the choices won’t be published prior to when they happen. Normally, one month following the date of the draw, information about conducted draws is posted.
Eligibility to Get Invited
If the following criteria were met, applicants for the federal Express Entry pool were chosen and given NOI letters:
- They must possess an active Express Entry profile;
- Their federal Express Entry profile listed their principal vocation as one that promotes the diversification and growth of Alberta’s economy;
- They must have had expressed a desire to stay in Alberta permanently;
- They scored at least 300 on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), minimum.
If you have received a NOI letter from Alberta, you must now email a copy of the letter to the Alberta Advantage Immigrant Program (AAIP) within two weeks of receiving the letter, along with supplementary information.
