Saskatchewan introduces a new immigration category for graduate entrepreneurs

The province of Saskatchewan has decided to introduce a new immigration pathway that will be accessible to international graduates who have received their degrees from eligible post-secondary institutions located in Saskatchewan. According to Jeremy Harrison, the Immigration and Career Training Minister, the new immigration pathway will play an important role in retaining international students in the country.

The Advanced Education Minister of Saskatchewan, Tina Beaudry-Mellor, has said that the province’s Post-Secondary International Education Strategy will aim to attract a higher number of international students since they are crucial for Saskatchewan’s future cultural and economic development.
International graduates who have a full-time, post-secondary degree or have completed a two-year diploma program are eligible.
