Selection Criteria
Invitations under the PEI Express Entry, Skilled Worker, and Critical Worker Streams were extended to individuals with a minimum point score of 65.
With this recent draw, the PEI PNP has embraced a total of 2,335 candidates, solidifying its position as a province dedicated to facilitating smooth PEI immigration processes. The Business Work Permit Entrepreneur stream, witnessing three new invitations, showcases PEI’s acknowledgement of entrepreneurial talent as a key driver for economic growth and innovation.
The Labour and Express Entry streams, contributing 134 invitations, underline PEI’s comprehensive approach to immigration. The PEI Expression of Interest (EOI) system is a strategic tool designed to gather crucial information about candidates. This data is then used to rank and select individuals deemed most likely to meet Prince Edward Island’s economic and labour market needs. The selection is based on attributes such as:
- Language Proficiency: English or French
- Education: Level, field, and location of education
- Skill and Work Experience: Level of expertise and relevant work history
- Strategic Priorities: Attributes addressing immediate labour market needs in PEI
- Other Employment-Relevant Factors: Including job offers in PEI and/or previous Canadian work experience.
