Looking to get permanent residency in Canada? You might want to take a look at the PEI PNP. As per February 2020, the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program is taking measures to help its immigration candidates by bringing them a little closer to attain permanent residence.

According to statistics, although the minimum CRS scores are not yet declared, the PEI has sent invitations to about 153 immigrant candidates in PEI to the three categories, Labour Impact, Business Impact, and Express Entry

The Express Entry category comprises three groups of immigrants, namely, Canadian Express Class, Federal Skilled Trades Program and Federal Skilled Worker Program. The candidates from Express Entry categories will require an EOI profile or an Expression of Interest with the PEI PNP to move forward with their provincial nomination application. Their profile will have questionnaires involving their purpose of residency, age, work experience, educational qualification and their grasp over the language or communication.

The PEI PNP and the Canadian government Express Entry System manages all these applications. And based on the answers, the candidates receive rankings, under the Comprehensive Ranking System. Higher scores here mean a high expectancy of invitation. If qualified for a provincial nomination, the candidate will also receive a bonus of 600 points from the government of Canada and will have an invite for the Express Entry draw.

The candidates who are of foreign nationality fall under the Labour Impact category. They are further divided into three classes, the International Graduate, Critical Worker, and Skilled Worker. These candidates, to move forward with the provincial nomination application, need to submit their EOI profile via the Labour Impact category. Besides, they also require showing proof of their valid job offer along with their employer’s support in Prince Edward Island.
