Ontario Invites Candidates Under Three Employer Job Offer Streams

On July 16, 2024, the Government of Ontario conducted new draws in three categories of the Employer Job Offer Streams as part of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). These streams include the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream (EJO FW), International Student Stream (EJO IS), and In-Demand Skills Stream (EJO IDS).

Draw Details

Foreign Worker Stream (EJO FW)

In the EJO FW Stream, Ontario issued five Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in a targeted draw specifically for candidates under the Economic Mobility Pathways Project. This initiative aims to provide pathways for skilled refugees to immigrate to Ontario, contributing to the province’s diverse workforce.

International Student Stream (EJO IS)

The province invited 839 individuals in a targeted draw under the EJO IS Stream. This draw focused on priority occupations, ensuring that the invited candidates possess skills that are in high demand in Ontario. The minimum score required for this stream was 77 points.

In-Demand Skills Stream (EJO IDS)

Finally, under the EJO IDS, Ontario issued 265 invitations in a general draw. This stream targets candidates with skills that are urgently needed in the province’s labor market. The minimum score for candidates invited under this stream was 35 points.

Total Invitations in 2024

With these recent draws, Ontario has issued a total of 30,661 invitations to candidates across various streams in 2024. This highlights the province’s ongoing efforts to address labor market needs and support economic growth by attracting skilled workers, international students, and individuals with in-demand skills.

Conclusion

Ontario’s latest draws under the Employer Job Offer Streams demonstrate the province’s commitment to welcoming skilled immigrants and addressing labor shortages. By targeting specific streams and priority occupations, Ontario continues to support its economic development and enhance its diverse workforce. Candidates invited under these streams have the opportunity to contribute to Ontario’s growing economy and build a successful future in the province.
