Immigration Announcement
Ontario Introduces the Masters Graduate Stream Again!
Immigration can be a tricky subject to handle for any country. Education is one of the key factors that need to be considered when choosing new immigrants because it will determine the quality of the new skilled labor that the country is getting through the process. In recent times, Canada has been checking all the right boxes when it comes to immigration, and the country has assured that it will try its best to keep the immigration open.
The OINP recently accepted more than 600 new registrations before ending its intake process. The Masters Graduate Stream was reopened to new registrations on April 30 by Ontario. Needless to say, the seats were quickly taken up, and the limit reached. With the help of the Masters Graduate Stream, international graduates who already have an eligible Ontario master’s degree will be able to apply for a provincial nomination directly for Canadian permanent residence.
This is a great opportunity for all those candidates who have the required degree. One of the main reasons why this stream is so popular is that candidates are not required to have an existing job offer from an Ontario employer if they want to apply. They are eligible even without a job offer.
The opening initially wanted to complete 1,000 new registrations when it began on March 5. However, there were some technical difficulties that prevented the fulfillment of the quota.
March 5 saw the successful submission of 333 registrations. The April 30 intake took in the remaining 667 registrations. According to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), successful registrants soon got a confirmation number from the e-Filing Portal.
The confirmation number was sent within three business days of the registration. The candidates had two weeks to submit their application to the OINP before the registration expired.
