- Number of invitations issued – 1,654

In this recent issuance of invitations through the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) Foreign Worker stream, diverse profiles with job offers spanning across National Occupational Classification (NOC) levels 0, 1, 2, or 3 were included. Eligible candidates possessed a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 50 or above, marking a significant step in the immigration process.
Marking a pivotal moment, this draw stands as the first general draw under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) Foreign Worker Stream, since March 1, 2022.
Contrasting with the specific targeting in the previous draw on January 9, where invitations were extended to profiles in 63 skilled trade occupations, 41 healthcare occupations, or 15 tech occupations, this recent draw adopts a more inclusive approach.
Candidates fortunate enough to receive invitations in this round are expected to complete and submit their applications within 14 calendar days from the date of receiving the invitation.
Ontario Exhausts 2023 Nomination Allotment
Ontario reached a milestone in its immigration journey as the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) fully utilized its 2023 nomination allocation. Throughout the year, a total of 16,500 nominations were granted to successful candidates across various streams. As the calendar turns to 2024, both new applications and those submitted earlier will continue to be considered under the program’s nomination allocation for the year.
OINP’s Varied Draw Approach
Ontario annually conducts Expression of Interest (EOI) based draws to issue Notifications of Interest (NOIs) for provincial nomination. The program often targets specific occupations, including draws focused on technology-related occupations. The OINP invites candidates predominantly through three key streams:
- Express Entry – Human Capital Priorities (HCP) Stream
- French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream
- Express Entry – Skilled Trades Stream
These streams cater to a diverse pool of candidates, aligning with Ontario’s economic and labor market needs.
