The Canadian province, Nova Scotia, held its Labour Market Priorities draw in three months and invited a total of 204 Express Entry (EE) candidates to apply for permanent residence in Canada.

Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program’s Labour Priorities Stream allows the province of Canada to search for skilled candidates who can meet the demands of the federal government’s express pool.

The last round of invitations targeted EE candidates who had French as their first official language with the Canadian Language Benchmark level score of 8 or higher in all four abilities: Speaking, Reading, Writing, and Listening. The condition is that the selected candidates had to have achieved level 6 or higher in English at the Canadian Language Benchmarks level (CLB) that includes all four abilities. Also, they are required to have a baccalaureate degree or a completed program of 3 years or more at a university, college, trade or technical school.

There was no minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) point’s requirement. The points are awarded based on parameters like age, education, work experience, and language proficiency in English or French.

All Express Entry candidates with a provincial nomination receive additional 600 points, which gets added to their CRS and makes them a strong contender from Nova Scotia. These many points make sure that the candidate is able to get the Invitation to Apply (ITA) to apply for Canada permanent residence. Once the candidate receives a Letter of Invitation, they have 30 calendar days to submit their completed application along with a set of documents to the provincial immigration office of Nova Scotia.
