Manitoba Holds New PNP Draw to Welcome 207 Candidates
The province of Manitoba issued invitations to 207 immigration candidates in the new PNP Draw 2021, giving them the opportunity to apply for a provincial nomination. Most Express Entry candidates look forward to receiving provincial nominations because they are awarded 600 CRS points if they are successful.
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program or MPNP requires candidates to submit an Expression of Interest if they want to receive Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) in the future.
Details of the draw
The February 12 draw was the fourth one to be held this year. International graduates and skilled workers received invitations via the International Education Stream, the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and the Skilled Workers Overseas Program. A total of five Express Entry candidates received LAAs during the draw.
Candidates in the Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream received 158 LAAs and their minimum EOI score requirement was 457. The Skilled Workers Overseas candidates needed to have an EOI score of 698 and 21 of them were invited. There was no EOI score requirement for people in the International Education Stream and 28 of them received invitations.
Manitoba usually assigns ranks to candidates after scoring them on 1000. Their human capital factors like age, educational qualifications and job experience as well as their existing connections to the province are taken into consideration.
Manitoba uses the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas categories to select candidates who have the necessary skills to fill the labor deficiencies of the province. International graduates who finish their education in Manitoba will be eligible to receive an LAA via the International Education Stream as long as they have the in-demand skills.
