Ontario PNP Held Two Express Entry Draws Under the Human Capital Priorities Stream
On July 20, 2023, the Express Entry Human Capital Priorities (HCP) immigration stream of Ontario held two draws for tech and healthcare candidates. The targeted draw issued EOIs to 1061 candidates. To qualify, candidates required a minimum CRS score between the range of 458-462.
Recently, the province held category-based Express Entry invitation selection rounds that are comparable to these provincial outcomes. A total of 2,000 healthcare professionals and 500 applicants in the STEM fields have already obtained ITAs from federal Express Entry drawings this summer.
Express Entry profiles that were submitted online between July 20, 2022, and July 20, 2023, were the focus of today’s Ontario PNP draw.
Highlights of the HCP Draw – Who was Invited?
As stated above, the draw issued invitations to 1061 candidates with a CRS score ranging between 479-485. The province conducted a targeted tech draw in which a total number of 902 candidates were invited. The other draw conducted issued invitations to 159 targeted healthcare professionals.

In seven HCP stream lotteries that have taken place since the beginning of 2023, OINP has invited 9,560 Express Entry profiles.
Human Capital Priorities Stream Eligibility
Only the Human Capital Priorities stream is open for applications:
- Provide proof that your employment history corresponded to one of the aforementioned
- qualifying National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes;
- If you received a Notification of Interest (NOI) on March 10, 2023;
You have 45 days to submit an online application to the OINP if you were given a NOI in this HCP draw.
How to Immigrate to Ontario?
OINP uses the Expression of Interest (EOI) system to identify potential applicants who match the criteria and standards for eligibility for the various immigration streams. Candidates are then sent an Invitation to Apply (ITA).
However, receiving an invitation to apply (ITA) does not grant you automatic admission to one of the OINP streams. If you have an ITA to apply for Canada PR updates and you meet the requirements for the stream specified in your ITA, you can submit your application online.
You have 14 days from the time you receive the invitation to apply to submit your Canada PR application. The software controls five streams: In-Demand Skills Stream, International Student Stream, Masters Graduate Stream, Ph.D. Graduate Stream, Foreign Worker Stream, and International Students Stream.
