The Superiority of Canada’s Immigration System

Canada has proved to be a model of immigration in the last few years due to its effective policies, and the number of people immigrating to Canada has risen dramatically.

Canada has historically been associated with immigration. Apart from the country’s Indigenous peoples, almost all Canadians are either immigrants or their descendants. Canada has been able to successfully integrate people of different backgrounds and cultures over the years. It became more open to diversity after the Second World War and has evolved to be one of the best multicultural societies on the globe.

Canada is geographically isolated, which proves to be a favorable factor when it comes to immigration. It does not experience irregular migration flows and is hence able to exercise ultimate control who enters the country strictly. However, irregular migration to Canada has gone up in recent years, which has led to a dip in public confidence. However, there is a general belief that the immigration system is safe and secure.

One of the primary reasons why immigrants love Canada is its excellent public policy that supports immigration. The country has introduced effective policies and reformed them as necessary in an effort to cater to the public interest. It has introduced more than 80 economic class pathways that allow immigrants to settle in the country and also contribute through their variety of skills.

Canada’s politics make it enticing for immigrants. Over 20 percent of Canadians are direct or indirect immigrants, and they live in large cities of Toronto, Calgary, Montreal, and Vancouver. Political parties hence have to impress immigrants if they want to form a government. With the growth in the country’s immigrant population, there will be an increase in the influence of immigrant voters.
