British Columbia PNP Organizes The Tech Pilot Draw
The Canadian province of British Columbia distributed 95 invitations among skilled eligible candidates who will now have the chance to submit an application for a provincial nomination. Candidates seek provincial nominations because they give them an advantage when it comes to securing permanent residence.
BC PNP Tech Draw:
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program or BC PNP organized the Tech Draw on March 23 for candidates belonging to the Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC categories.
The BC PNP acts as a fast-track immigration pathway for international workers and in-demand IT workers. People with tech skills can take advantage of the Pilot if they are planning to become permanent residents in the province.
In order to be eligible for the Tech Pilot, candidates should register in any of the existing immigration streams of the province.
They should also have a year’s worth of experience in any of the 29 occupations rendered eligible by the province.
Details of PNP Tech Draw:
For this draw, the subcategories targeted by the province were International graduates and Skilled Worker. All the invited candidates had a provincial score of at least 80.
They can now submit their applications within 30 days. If they are successful in getting a provincial nomination, they will give 600 bonus CRS points which will automatically put them at an advantage.
British Columbia has also made it clear that they are planning to extend the Entrepreneur Immigration Regional Pilot up to March 31, 2024.
