AAIP Held Five Express Entry Draws

In the month of May, Express Entry candidates in Alberta had set a new high record. In the most recent rounds of provincial nominee programs (PNP), candidates have been invited to apply from the province of Alberta. The province conducted five draws and issued invitations to candidates for provincial immigration.

The province of Alberta held five Express Entry draws in the month of May, inviting a total of 327 candidates under the Alberta Advantage Immigrant Program.

In Canada, there are a number of provincial and territorial nomination programs (PNPs). Under these programs, interested candidates are invited to apply for their provincial nomination. Receiving a provincial nomination can be a valuable step toward attaining permanent residency.

Here are Alberta’s May Month Draws Highlights – Who was Invited?

  • On 9th May 2023, the province of Alberta held a Notification of Interest (NOI) draw. The draw NOIs to a total number of 8 invitations to candidates to apply for the provincial nomination. To qualify, candidates are required to score as low as 307 CRS points.
    The draw invited candidates from the stream of designated healthcare pathway and Alberta Job offer.
  • On the same day, the province held a draw and issued Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to a total of 175 candidates with the lowest CRS score of 444. To qualify for the draw, candidates were required to be from a Tourism and Hospitality occupation along with an Alberta job offer.
  • On May 11, 2023, the province invited a total of 119 Notifications of Interest (NOIs). The candidates were invited from family connections and primary occupations in demand. To qualify, candidates are required to score 311 CRS points.
  • On 23rd May, the province of Alberta issued 05 NOIs and invited candidates from Designated Healthcare Pathway and Alberta job offer. Candidates must have scored at least 401 CRS points to qualify in this draw.
  • Moving forward, Alberta on May 30th issued a total of 20 candidates from the Agriculture and Alberta job offer stream. The lowest-ranked candidate had 342 CRS points.

The number of applications in the Alberta Advantage Immigrant Program’s backlog at the time determines the size and frequency of the Notification of Interest (NOI) draw. With a few exceptions, AAIP draws are typically held every month. The dates of the choices won’t be published prior to when they happen. Normally, one month following the date of the draw, information about conducted draws is posted.
