Manitoba PNP Draw #266 Issues 29 Invitations in Skilled Worker Stream
On October 23, 2025, Manitoba held a new Skilled Worker stream draw under the MPNP, issuing 29 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs). Of these, nine invitations were extended to candidates with valid Express Entry profile numbers and job seeker validation codes. This year, Manitoba has invited 7,015 candidates, including 1,267 through Express Entry.
This draw targeted skilled workers under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas streams as part of a strategic recruitment initiative aimed at addressing local labor market needs and regional priorities.
Distribution of Invitations
The invitations were distributed according to specific recruitment initiatives:
| Recruitment Initiative | Number of Invitations |
| Employer Services | 4 |
| Francophone Community | 3 |
| Regional Communities | 2 |
| Ethnocultural Communities | 1 |
| Temporary Public Policy (TPP) | 19 |
The draw ensures that critical sectors, including healthcare, technology, and skilled trades, receive candidates who are ready to contribute immediately.
Eligibility and Requirements
Candidates must have been directly invited under a strategic recruitment initiative or the Temporary Public Policy. Those with Express Entry profiles are prioritized if they have a valid job seeker validation code.
Tips for applicants:
- Verify that your Express Entry profile is active and valid.
- Ensure language test results are current and correctly entered in your profile.
- Respond promptly to any communications from MPNP.
The Strategic Recruitment Approach
Manitoba’s targeted draws reflect a strategy to fill local labor market gaps while supporting diverse communities. For example, the Francophone community initiative strengthens cultural diversity, while the Regional Communities initiative supports growth in smaller municipalities.
By focusing on candidates with specific skills, Manitoba ensures that new immigrants contribute to economic development while integrating smoothly into their communities.
Next Steps for Candidates
Once a Letter of Advice to Apply is received, candidates can submit a full application, including employment verification, language proficiency, and educational credentials. Successful applicants may also be nominated for permanent residence, providing a pathway for long-term settlement.
Manitoba held a new Skilled Worker stream draw under the MPNP, demonstrating the province’s commitment to proactive workforce planning and strategic immigration to meet economic needs. Future draws will continue to target skilled workers in key sectors to maintain provincial growth and community sustainability.
