Quebec Issues Over 2,700 Invitations in Latest Arrima Draws

Quebec’s drive to attract skilled immigrants shows no signs of slowing down, with the province issuing over 2,700 invitations in its latest Arrima draws on May 23 and May 30, 2024. This move underscores Quebec’s commitment to addressing labor shortages and fueling economic growth through strategic immigration policies.

On May 23, the Quebec Ministry of Immigration (MIFI) invited 1,350 candidates to apply for a Quebec Selection Certificate under the Quebec Skilled Worker Program. Just a week later, on May 30, the province extended another 1,441 invitations through the Arrima online system.

The minimum score requirements for these draws were set at 593 and 591, respectively, reflecting the highly competitive nature of Quebec’s immigration programs. Invited candidates not only met these stringent criteria but also possessed advanced French language proficiency, with at least level 7 oral skills.

Notably, these invitations were exclusively extended to candidates with valid job offers outside the Montreal Metropolitan Community, aligning with Quebec’s efforts to promote regional economic development and address labor needs across various sectors.

With these latest draws, Quebec has now issued a total of 10,783 invitations through the regular Arrima system in 2024 alone, showcasing the province’s unwavering commitment to attracting top talent from around the world.

“Quebec’s economy is thriving, and skilled immigrants play a crucial role in sustaining this growth,” commented Immigration Minister. “Through Arrima, we are actively seeking out individuals who can contribute to our vibrant communities and enrich our cultural tapestry.”

As the global competition for skilled workers intensifies, Quebec’s proactive approach positions the province as an attractive destination for talented individuals seeking new opportunities. With its focus on French language proficiency and targeted recruitment efforts, Quebec is well-positioned to welcome a diverse and skilled workforce to drive its economic success.
