Alberta Provincial Nominee Program

The western province of Alberta is home to Calgary and Edmonton, two significant Canadian cities. Those with the necessary abilities and job experience are invited to come to the province and settle there through the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP). The program offers eight choices for immigration streams;

Streams for Workers

Alberta Opportunity Stream

For skilled professionals who are already employed in Alberta and for graduates from abroad who have finished their studies at an accredited post-secondary school in Alberta, there is the Alberta Opportunity Stream.

Alberta General Express Entry Stream

Candidates in the Express Entry system who have a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of at least 300 have the option of applying through the Alberta General Express Entry Stream.

Alberta Accelerated Tech Pathway

One choice under the Express Entry stream is the Alberta Accelerated Tech Pathway. Candidates who presently work in Alberta’s technology sector or who have accepted a job offer in one of the 38 professions recognized by the province are eligible.

Rural Renewal Stream

In order to address the labour shortage and skill gaps in rural Alberta towns, the Rural Renewal Stream was established. Its goal is to meet regional economic demands and foster community development. Candidates who have received a job offer from an Alberta business to work in a rural location have the option of enrolling in a stream.

Streams For Entrepreneurs

Farm Stream

The goal of the Farm Stream is to entice farmers and farm operators to relocate to Alberta in order to buy or operate farms there. A farm stream is an option for applicants who can demonstrate farm management skills and sufficient financial resources to invest in a primary production farming business in the province.

Graduate Entrepreneur Stream

International graduates of Alberta-approved post-secondary institutions who want to launch a business are eligible for the province’s Graduate Entrepreneur Stream. This stream allows applicants to start or run a business in Alberta while they are on a work visa, after which they can apply for Canadian permanent residency.

Foreign Graduate Entrepreneur Stream

The Foreign Graduate Entrepreneur Stream is intended for bright international graduates who want to launch a business. The candidate will be considered for permanent residence in Canada once they launch a firm in Alberta.

Rural Entrepreneur Stream
The Rural Entrepreneur Stream is for immigrant company owners who want to create a business or buy an existing one in a rural community in Alberta. The program’s objective is for business owners to produce jobs for Albertans and recommend the application for PR in Canada
