Toronto Raptors and NBA championship

Canada’s liberal immigration policies have garnered a lot of praise throughout the world. Recently, Canadian immigration found a big victory in a field that is nowhere close to politics.

Due to Canada’s high immigration rates, any Canadian sports team comprises mostly foreign players, but that is not regarded as a problem. The team still has the devout support of all Canadians, whether they are Canadians by birth or immigrants. When a team of immigrants proves itself to be the best in professional basketball, nobody can say that Canada is not going down the right path.

The Toronto Raptors managed to pull off a stunning win and secure their first National Basketball Association (NBA) title. They defeated their opponents, the Golden State Warriors who are a six-time champion. This just goes on to show how much skill and talent is still undiscovered among immigrants.

The Raptors had a dream championship run and attracted a lot of media coverage. Not only were people impressed by the sheer diversity of the fans of the team, but they were also amazed at the team’s prowess when they were on the court. The team won because of their dedication, and they deserved it completely. In fact, a Raptor superfan named Nav Bhatia who is an immigrant from India has become as popular as star players such as Kawhi Leonard and Kyle Lowry. The Raptors have shown that a strong support base can make anything possible.

Bhatia is the owner of multiple used car dealerships in Toronto, and he has been a fan of the Raptors since he immigrated back in the day. He collected season tickets when the Raptors played their first year Toronto in 1995. He has made it a point to offer opportunities to other immigrant kids so they can also watch the Raptors in action.
