Prince Edward Island Invited 113 Labour and Express Entry Candidates in Its PNP Draw
On March 30, 2023, Prince Edward Island (PEI) held its fifth draw. The draw invited candidates through the Labour and Express Entry streams only.
The province has not invited any candidates through the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur streams in its PNP draw. As proposed for 2023, this draw is in accordance with PEI PNP’s schedule.
Highlights of the Draw: Who Was Invited?
In the draw, Prince Edward Island (PEI) issued 113 invitations to the candidates of the Labour and Express Entry stream. However, in total, the province welcomed a total of 1,603 Labour and Express Entry stream invitations in 2023.
In addition, PEI Provincial Nominee Program has issued 116 Business Work Permit Entrepreneur invitations and 2,095 Labour & Express Entry invitations in the last 12 months.
PEI PNP Eligibility Requirements
With the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) , the government of PEI is able to choose suitable immigrants who have the qualifications and expertise necessary to boost the local economy. Candidates must fulfill the following criteria in order to be eligible for the PEI PNP:
| Age | Between 21-59 |
| Education | Must have at least a High school diploma. Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. is also preferred. |
| Work Experience | 2 years of full-time experience in a skilled occupation |
| Language Proficiency | CLB of 4 in English or French |
In addition to these factors, an intent to live in the province and a sufficient amount of funds are also required. Additionally, applicants must satisfy the particular eligibility requirements of the PEI PNP stream they are applying for. You can use our CRS points calculator to determine your eligibility. Note: Express Entry candidates who wish to get nominated by PEI must submit a separate Expression of Interest (EOI) to the PEI PNP. Just Like the Express Entry’s Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), EOI profiles get a score based on PEI points grid system. High-ranking candidates are welcome to apply through monthly draws. Every month, Prince Edward Island holds draws through the PEI PNP.
