Eligibility for OINP Foreign Worker Stream

- The job offer must align with Ontario’s median wage levels and be considered essential to the business.
- For individuals already employed in the designated position, the proposed wage must equal or surpass the existing wage.
- Possess a cumulative two years of pertinent work experience within the last five years preceding the application date.
- Obtain any mandatory licensing in Ontario if the job position necessitates such credentials.
- Reside abroad or be in Canada with a valid permit for reasons such as work, study, or visitation.
- Express a clear intention to settle in the province of Ontario.
OINP Recent Updates in 2024
Commencing January 1, 2024, OINP has introduced modifications to the Employer Job Offer: International Student stream. This adjustment extends the eligibility criteria for international students who have completed a one-year college graduate certificate.
Previously, applicants were restricted to applying with a one-year credential only if the program required a degree for admission.
