Saskatchewan Express Entry 2019

Recently, Saskatchewan issued 814 invitations to encourage more Express Entry candidates to come forward in 2019. Saskatchewan organized these new draws through the help of its Occupation In-Demand and Express Entry and immigration sub-categories. Held on May 22nd, they produced a total of 325 invitations using which candidates will be able to apply for a provincial nomination.

This will allow them to get a step closer to Canadian permanent residence. The total number of invitations was divided among the candidates. 221 invitations were assigned to Occupation In-Demand candidates while 104 of them went to candidates who were classified under Saskatchewan’s Express Entry sub-category.

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) considers both these sub-categories to be crucial components of the system. It lets Saskatchewan produce nominations for economic immigration candidates who will be able to satisfy particular labor needs in the province and help in the maximum utilization of the system.

Saskatchewan is a place where immigration is a major contributor to the growth in population. This automatically leads to labor force growth and increased productivity. The province has invited over 108,000 immigrants from 170 countries since the year 2007.

One of the main eligibility requirements which both Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand candidates of the SINP have to satisfy relates to work experience. They must have previous experience in any of the 19 occupations which are listed as in demand currently in the province. However, it is not compulsory for the candidates to have a job offer from a Saskatchewan employer in order to apply.

The SINP has successfully issued 854 invitations under the Occupation In-Demand sub-category in 2019 so far, and 814 invitations have been sent out in the Express Entry sub-category. Express Entry includes candidates who fall under the Federal Skilled Trades Class, Federal Skilled Worker Class, and the Canadian Experience Class.
