Canada PGWP

International students who are planning to study in Canadian institutions this year might have to adjust their plans a little because of the imposition of the coronavirus restrictions in the country. However, they will be relieved to know that the online course work they undertake will not render them ineligible for PGWP.

International student graduates who want to gain Canadian work experience will still be able to do fulfill their goals. If they have to begin their study program in Canada in the coming weeks, they will be assigned online coursework in case it is not possible for them to fly out. They will not be penalized, and eventually, they will be able to apply for a PGWP or Post Graduation Work Permit.

The PGWP program is aimed at international students who want to work in Canada for a period of up to three years. This helps the student obtain valuable Canadian work experience. It will work in their favor if they apply to economic class immigration programs in order to become a permanent resident.

However, the pandemic has given rise to unprecedented circumstances which is why the Canadian government has introduced this temporary reform.

Since the implementation of travel restrictions, Canada has tried to make its immigration policies flexible so that international students are able to continue with their plans.
