Alberta Distribute 200 Invitations Among Express Entry Stream Candidates
Alberta has been actively inviting eligible candidates to apply for provincial nomination. It is important for Canadian provinces to fill up labor gaps and boost the economy for post-pandemic recovery.
Details of the draw
On April 20, Alberta distributed 200 invitations among Express Entry candidates. The invited applicants will now be able to apply for a provincial nomination. Alberta has issued 1,409 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination so far in 2021.
The selected candidates required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 301. This was one point lesser than the requirement of the previous draw. The selected candidates were also required to have work experience in any of the professions listed by the province.
The candidates who manage to secure a provincial nomination successfully via the Alberta Express Entry stream will have a competitive advantage as compared to the other candidates. They will receive an extra 600 CRS points to boost their score in the Express Entry system. Provincial nominees are almost guaranteed to receive invitations to apply for permanent residence in Canada.
Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program
The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) operates alongside the Alberta Express Entry stream, which acts as an enhanced PNP. People who are interested in this program can begin the process by making an Express Entry profile. It is ideal for Express Entry candidates with strong connections in Albert and an interest in the development of the province. Alberta is currently inviting only those candidates who are already living and working in Alberta because of the international travel restrictions.
