Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program Issues 150 Invitations

Canadian immigration suffered last year due to the pandemic. This year, Canadian provinces are working extra hard to organize regular draws and invite eligible workers who can benefit the economy.

Manitoba organized its latest immigration draw on May 6 and issued a total of 150 invitations. The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) is responsible for handling the application submitted to the provincial government. The selected candidates will now have the chance to submit an application for a provincial nomination.

Provincial nominations give an advantage to the recipient by awarding them 600 extra CRS points. Their final application for permanent residence in Canada will have a higher chance of getting accepted.

Details of the draw

Manitoba issued invitations to candidates who could possibly meet the eligibility requirements of the following Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) streams:

• International Education Stream
• Skilled Workers in Manitoba
• Skilled Workers Overseas

A total of 104 invitations were issued for Skilled Workers in Manitoba, and the chosen candidates had a minimum EOI score of 400. On the other hand, Skilled Workers Overseas candidates received 29 invitations, and the required EOI score was 703. The International Education Stream candidates got 13 invitations but they did not have to satisfy any EOI score requirements.

Express Entry candidates received 14 invitations. Candidates in the two Skilled Worker Streams must have registered their Expression of Interest (EOI) profiles in order to receive invitations.
