Canada Is Opening International Experience Pools For Certain Countries

Immigrant applicants of more than 20 countries between the age group of 18 and 35 can enter the International Experience Canada pool. In order to enter the pool, the individual must be a citizen of the foreign countries that have a reciprocal agreement with Canada. For a Canadian work permit under the IEC, they do not require a Labour Market Impact Assessment.

As per IRCC, the applicant who wants to travel to Canada during the ongoing COVID-19 must have a valid job offer and a letter of introduction to show at the port of entry. Moreover, they must follow the COVID -19 mandatory quarantine rule and should abide by all testing requirements.

Eligibility for Young Professional category under IEC:

Applicants coming to Canada in Young Professional Category are offered a job that can enhance their professional development and must fall under the category of National Occupation Classification skill level 0, A, or B. The applicants have to work with the same employer as mentioned in the work permit. The work under this category is paid by the employer and is not self-employed. In addition to this, an applicant cannot change their employer and location during their stay in Canada.

Eligibility for International Co-op under IEC:

The student must be enrolled at a post-secondary institution and should have a Canada Internship and a letter of a job offer. Applicants in the International Co-op category have to work in the same location and with the same employer during their period in Canada. Wages will be paid as the labor law of a particular territory or Province.
