Saskatchewan Organizes PNP Draw To Invite 541 Candidates
Saskatchewan, like most other Canadian provinces, has begun 2021 on a positive note for immigration. Even though Canada is yet to lift border restrictions, the provinces are doing their best to invite more eligible workers this year so that the labor market does not suffer anymore.
On February 11, Saskatchewan hosted a new PNP draw and invited 541 eligible candidates to apply for a provincial nomination. The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program or the SINP targeted the Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand subcategories for this draw.
The invited candidates will be able to submit their applications for a provincial nomination now. If they are successful in their attempt, they will most likely receive a permanent residence offer using the next Express Entry draw.
Requirements
Through the SINP, Saskatchewan is at liberty to browse the immigrant pool and nominate immigration candidates who will be able to fill the specific labor shortages in the province. A total of 197 candidates from the Occupations In-Demand sub-category received invitations in the new Saskatchewan PNP draw. On the other hand, 344 candidates in the Express Entry sub-category were invited.
The selected candidates have work experience in one of the 89 eligible professions listed by the province. These include data scientists, corporate sales managers, advertising and marketing managers and more. They also had Educational Credential Assessments.
The required Expression of Interest or EOI score for the candidates was minimum 72 in this draw. Saskatchewan marks the candidates on a points grid. Factors such as age, educational qualifications, and work experience matter in determining the score.
