British Columbia Hosts Draw To Invite Candidates Eligible For Provincial Nomination
The Canadian province of British Columbia has truly been taking the pandemic in its stride and is committed to welcoming as many eligible candidates as possible this year.
The Provincial Nominee Program in BC has been organizing weekly draws without fail so that applicants do not have to wait for an exceptionally long time. The draws are meant to target a variety of PNP streams and categories. In fact, the largest draw to be organized by the province this year was not before the pandemic but on September 29. This is an indication that the province is recovering slowly but steadily.
Results of the draw
The province recently hosted a draw on October 27 so as to issue invitations to applicants under the Skills Immigration and Express Entry streams. Candidates who are looking to apply for any of these categories should immediately make their profiles in the online portal. It is only then that they will be allowed to fulfill the registration process via the Skills Immigration Registration System.
The sub-categories considered by the BCPNP for the October 27 draw were Skilled Worker, Entry-Level, and Semi-Skilled and International Graduate. The required score varied not only for each category but also for each subcategory.
Skills Immigration Category
- Skilled Worker: 93 points
- Entry-Level and Semi-Skilled: 75 points
- International Graduate: 94 points
Express Entry Category
- International Graduate: 93 points
- Skilled Worker: 92 points
British Columbia rewards the candidates who manage to secure provincial nominations handsomely. The successful candidates have 600 points added to their CRS score, which gives their applications an undeniable boost. The factors based on which the province chooses suitable candidates include age, language abilities, work experience, and educational qualifications, among others.
